History of Port Columbus (Now John Glenn International Airport)

by Mr. Nolan Leatherman

Nolan Leatherman hails from Mansfield Ohio, attended Ashland University and graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He and his wife Julia reside in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Mr. Leatherman retired from North American Aviation in 1990 after 33 years of uninterrupted service with the company. During that time, he was involved in many aspects of the aerospace industry, including work on many famous aircraft, as well as space programs, including Apollo and the space shuttle. While at North American Aviation, he developed a keen interest in the history of Port Columbus and its relationship with the US Navy over the years. He will share many interesting facts in a most fascinating presentation. You will not want to miss this program.
